Great care is taken by the owners to ensure the comfort of every guest. The bungalow is ideal for a couple, or a couple with a modest kid.

It has an open, airy floor plan with tons of windows and two sliding glass doors leading to decks that overlook the canal, a very well-equipped kitchen, and many modest touches that help make your stay more pleasurable. We pride ourselves on offering a clean, comfortable, and well maintained bungalow.

If you've never been to Ocracoke, you're in for a treat. It's one of the most unique places many will have the chance to visit. With 13 miles of pristine beach, it's no wonder it's been voted in the top ten beaches year after year. It's not hard to fall in adore with the painless going, laid back lifestyle.

If you're in the mood to stay busy, there's tons to do from inshore and offshore fishing with native guides, cycling, raking your own clams, kayaking and parasailing to shopping and trying one of the many great eateries on the island.

If you're more into calming, kick back on the porch in one of our locally made Adirondack chairs and watch egrets, ducks and otters off the back deck, or chill out with a book or movie from the home.

If you have been here before, there's always a few new places to check out and a chance to rediscover why you came to Ocracoke in the first place.

Ocracoke rental property booking tips:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • In the Ocracoke area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Ocracoke attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Ocracoke vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Ocracoke area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Ocracoke visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the best vacation rental in Ocracoke:

  • Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Beautiful Canalfront Cottage, Perfect for Couples! has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's an individual Ocracoke destination you simply love, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the property manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
