- Private vacation home
This two-story waterfront townhouse is the ideal place to relax and take in the spectacular sunset vistas over Pamlico Sound. Located on a modest side road off Silver Lake Road this property has private decks and painless water access providing an ideal place for your event to launch personal watercraft and discover the island. The docking here is shallow and only accepts shallow watercrafts. Both the downstairs living area and upstairs master bedroom are open to the view of the sound, where one can appreciate lazily watching boats and ferries going to and from the mainland. Upon entering this unit, you are greeted by a beautiful hand painted mural that leads you to the second floor. The sizable second bedroom upstairs is great for families needing a kids’s room, having a pyramid bunk bed, queen-sized bed, and a twin bed. The master bedroom upstairs has a private bathroom and private deck access. This Saturday turn day property does not provide linens or towels, please inquire about rental options.

Strategies for getting the perfect Ocracoke rental home experience:
Get the most from your budget:
- Summer months are high season in Ocracoke. Reserve your Ocracoke rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Ocracoke visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Choosing the best rental:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Water's View: Waterfront Ocracoke Townhome has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Ocracoke vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
Tips for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
